about

On the heels of his 2023 Gallery of Sound WAKAAN EP, Tripp St. prepares to reveal his next full-length body of work, The Rose EP, on SSKWAN. Reaching five tracks in completion, the EP boasts some of the producer’s most ambitious music to date. Contrasting his traditional uptempo style from previous work, the record still falls into the freeform bass genre while thoroughly exploring a more downtempo route, even being described as borderline ambient. Perfectly encapsulating the sounds of SSKWAN, The Rose EP features an abundance of worldly and dreamlike elements alike.

Making meaningful performances for the first half of 2023, Tripp St. has made special guest appearances at Red Rocks Amphitheatre, along with both LSDream and Daily Bread’s national tours. Playing a handful of large scale festivals, he’s brought his sensory-stimulating sets to captivated crowds among the likes of Envision Festival, Sol Fest, and Summer Camp. With a recently announced Caverns show in support of Emancipator, Imagine Festival, Submersion featuring a debut set b2b with Maxfield, Beyond Existence, and more TBA, be sure to keep a lookout for what’s on the horizon from the steadfast artist.

Focus Track: "’Enlighten' is a track I made after attending Envision in Costa Rica at the beginning of the year. I spent the festival surrounded by peers, friends, and artistic mentors, listening and playing out music that reinvigorated me. The entire experience just sparked something in me that came to fruition immediately afterwards, and I think it’s really relatable for people to feel enlightened in the same way I did after leaving such a profound experience.”

Quote: "The EP title is inspired by one of my personal favorites, Tupac’s poem 'The Rose that Grew From Concrete.' It's something inspirational that holds a lot of meaning to me, and I think about his words a lot when I’m trying to accomplish something, including this EP." - Tripp St.
